A focal color in 2024 is orange. It is such an exuberant, cheerful, energizing hue, and the more saturated, the better in my opinion. This piece was rendered in soft pastels and acrylic paint on sanded pastel paper. Soft pastel fixative was sprayed in light layers to seal color and reduce smudging.
